We are embarking on a major expansion programme which will add significant additional capacity and capabilities to our group.

The plans:

Expansion of Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara
A new integrated medical hub – Thomson Hospital Iskandariah – will be developed in the proposed Vantage Bay Healthcare City in bustling Johor Bahru, located just off the Causeway linking Johor and Singapore wellness facilities.

Thomson Hospital Iskandariah is set to put JS-SEZ healthcare on the map with the combination of its ambitious plans and ideal location:

Multi-specialty tertiary hospital: With the construction set to commence in early 2026, phase one of the hospital is targeted to open when the upcoming Rapid Transit System is fully operational.
State-of-art technology: The hospital will be equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic, imaging and treatment equipment.
Dedicated Centre of Excellence: Focusing on critical areas such as Oncology, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Fertility and General Surgery.

The hospital’s strategic location offers seamless connectivity to Singapore and Indonesia:

Proximity to Singapore: Situated just off the Causeway, facilitating easy access for patients from Singapore.
Upcoming Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link: Expected to be operational by January 2027, reducing travel time between Woodlands North (Singapore) and Bukit Chagar (Johor Bahru) to approximately six minutes.
Nearby ferry services: Providing direct access to Batam and Indonesia’s Riau Islands, expanding the hospital’s reach to international patients.

Zoning Approval from the Ministry of Health for the development of Iskandariah Hospital has been obtained.
